The Sustainability Lab shaping brighter futures

Trades Unions and Sustainability@Bangor

We encourage trades union representatives to participate fully in all aspects of Sustainability@Bangor and we have excellent working relationships with both senior officers and representatives of all unions recognised at Bangor University.

Get involved

Raise a sustainability issue at a Campus Union Forum

A Campus Union Forum, chaired by the Vice-chancellor meets three times per year and issues surrounding Sustainability and Well-being are discussed as required.  Sustainability is a standing item on the agenda and the Director of Sustainability will provide an update on relevant issues to the group. We encourage all the Unions to bring sustainability-related issues to our attention at this meeting.

Come to the Sustainability & Well-being ThinkTanks

As a rep you are welcome to join Bangor’s ThinkTanks and you will already be receiving our email invites every month that the ThinkTanks take place (usually October to May) via the University’s “All staff” mailing list.  You can participate in any or all of the sessions with no need to book or register.  Our invites also link you to the ThinkTanks and Events pages so you can find out more about past and future sessions.

Sign Bangor’s Sustainability Pledge

All staff are encouraged to sign the Sustainability Pledge as individuals.  The Pledge also has an option to participate in Sustainability@Bangor as a union rep.

Become a Trades Union’s Sustainability Champion

All staff are eligible to be Sustainability Champions.  You can join the Champions team as an individual member of staff or as a representative of your union.  Interested? Why not sign up now?
