Sustain Wales Awards 2016 launched: share your sustainability story

Sustain Wales has recently launched the Sustain Wales Awards for applications and hope you will be encouraged to submit an entry.
The Sustain Wales Awards are open to any business, organisation or individual that can demonstrate a positive impact and approach to sustainable development within your business or community.
This year applicants are being asked to tell the story of a project or activity launched or completed in the last year, which demonstrates how you or your organisation is meeting one or more of the seven Well-being Goals, outlined in the Welsh Government’s Well-being of Future Generations Act.
Building on the success of the inaugural Awards launched at the Wales Millennium Centre in 2015, Sustain Wales is welcoming nominations and application across the 10 categories below:
- Sustainability Champion
- Young Sustainability Champion
- Sustainable School
- Sustainable FE/HE Institution
- Sustainable Venue
- Sustainable Public Service
- Sustainable Business
- Sustainable Community Group
- Sustainable Social Enterprise
- Sustainable Innovation
Applicants will be short-listed to three finalists per category before going through to a public vote.
The prestigious Awards ceremony will be held at The Senedd in Cardiff Bay on the evening of the 17 November where the 10 winners will be announced.
More information on the categories, the Well-being of Future Generations Act and how to apply can be found on the Sustain Wales website.
Closing date for applications is 15 July
